Attorney At Law
Kira C. Guisto is a personal injury attorney whose commitment to helping people overcome difficult situations is apparent in everything she does. Kira joined Timmons Law in 2017 after she and her family moved to Hood River, where her husband, Mario, was born and raised.
Originally from Redmond, Oregon, Kira graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Speech Communications. She went on to earn her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. She clerked for Judge Donald Hull of the Circuit Court of Oregon, District 7, before going on to practice for three years in San Diego, where she focused on personal injury, mass tort and class action litigation. Following the 2007 wildfires that raged through San Diego, Kira handled dozens of individual claims against San Diego Gas & Electric Company resulting in millions of dollars worth of settlement.
As a Columbia River Gorge attorney, Kira works most often with clients who have been injured in car accidents, motorcycle crashes, bicycle accidents, dog bites, or by negligence on someone’s private property. “A small, unexpected accident can take over someone’s life,” she says. “I like helping people understand their legal rights and ensuring they get the compensation they deserve.”
Kira sees legal action as the main avenue for helping people who have suffered accidents move forward with their lives. Her strong mediation and negotiation skills allow many of her clients reach a settlement without going to trial.
When she’s not working, Kira is busy raising her two young daughters, helping out on her family’s cherry orchard, and hiking, hunting or cross-country skiing with her husband and friends.
